I benefited a lot from studying at a great university. My studies in the History Department have helped me explore different research methodologies. During my time at Birkbeck I often met with other students from my programme to talk about our work.
The coursework was well-organised, and the tutors supervision was simply excellent. During my time at Birkbeck I often met with other students from my programme to talk about our work. With other international students, we revised together and discussed language issues.
By graduating in MA Historical Research I am on the way to establishing a career in the arts. I did a first degree in history of art in Japan and at Birkbeck I specialised in modern Japanese history. I am now completing a postgraduate course at the British Museum. My studies in the History Department have helped me explore different research methodologies. In London there are lots of international students, so coming to a new city wasnt as daunting as it might have been. London has a great social scene and Birkbecks location is fantastic.
