Research at the School of Engineering focuses on developing original ideas into practical solutions and transfering this knowledge to the actual industries and businesses. Since 1999 Robert Gordon University has been the largest recipient of funding from the Scottish Executive’s Proof of Concept (PoC) Programme, which promotes the flow of technology from laboratories to the market place. The School awards PhD, MPhil and MSc degrees.The University and the School promote a free, vanguard multidisciplinary research approach resulting in the formation of the following research groups:
